Celebrate Valentine's Day with The Rocco Forte Collection
January 2011 - With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, The Rocco Forte Collection has put together perfect escapes for couples wanting a relaxing break in some of Europe’s most magical cities.
From dance classes in Geneva and candlelit dinners in a jewellery vault in Berlin to discovering Florence’s most romantic spots, there is something for everyone wanting to whisk their loved one away this Valentine’s.
Located in what is often described as THE city of love, Hotel Savoy has plenty to offer for those in search of romance. Guests will be treated to dinner at the hotel’s L’Incontro Restaurant, tickets to the Uffizi Gallery which houses some of Italy’s most spectacular Renaissance works, and a special welcome gift from Il Papiro – a company specialising in hand decorated paper items inspired by Tuscany. Courtesy of the hotel’s concierge team, they will also receive a special map detailing Florence’s most romantic spots – perfect for popping that question.
In the heart of the eternal city, Rome’s Hotel de makes for the perfect place for an unforgettable rendezvous. In addition to dinner at Le Jardin de Russie and an indulgent breakfast in bed, guests will also be treated to tickets to the Palazzo Farnese Collection exhibition. This 16th century palace which now serves in the French Embassy is for the first time opening its doors to the public with a show that brings together more than 500 years of the building’s history.
At first glance, Berlin may not appear the most romantic of places but dig a little deeper and this eclectic city may just surprise its visitors: from sunset boat cruises along the Spree Waterway, afternoon tea at The Belvedere Tea House - overlooking the sweeping gardens of the Charlottenburg Palace to a candlelit dinner for two in the jewellery vault at Hotel de Rome. Set where once valuable jewels and gold was stored, a four course menu will be served, with each dish accompanied by different Champagne.
With more romantic treats on offer such as the Couples Chakra Wellbeing treatment at The Augustine in Prague, delicious Belgian chocolate surprises at Brussels’ Hotel Amigo to exquisite culinary experiences at The Lowry in Manchester and The Balmoral in Edinburgh, there are plenty of ideas for celebrating Valentine’s this February with The Rocco Forte Collection.
