New Finance Director for The Rocco Forte Collection

The Rocco Forte Collection has announced the appointment of Alan Clark as group finance director.  Mr Clark will join the company on 19 April 2010.

Mr Clark was previously group financial director at Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin Hotels, where he was responsible for the financial performance of the group’s 27 boutique UK hotels in addition to new developments.  He had been with the Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin group since 2006. Prior to that he worked for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts as Deputy Vice President: Finance for the Europe region, and Sun International in South Africa.  He is CIMA qualified, a graduate of the University of South Africa, and began his career as an accountant at KPMG.

Commenting on the appointment, Sir Rocco Forte said, “I am very pleased to welcome Alan to the company.  He joins us at an exciting time when our brand is now firmly established in the luxury European hotel sector and we are expanding into new regions, including the Middle East and North Africa. He brings with him a wealth of experience from previous roles within the industry and will be a strong addition to our executive team.”

Mr Clark replaces David Munns who has left the company after six years to join Kaplan Europe as its Chief Financial Officer.
