'Serving' Aces over Wimbledon at Rocco Forte's Brown's Hotel
In celebration of Wimbledon, Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair will be ‘serving’ some special creations between 20 June and 3 July 2011, which guests are bound to ‘love’!
Wimbledon Afternoon Tea in The English Tea Room
This summer, The English Tea Room will be serving their award-winning traditional afternoon tea of a choice of 17 different teas, warm scones and freshly prepared sandwiches, along with a glass of Rosé Champagne and a bowl of strawberries and cream. Home-made cakes will include Pimm's jelly with cucumber cream, strawberries and cream shortbread tartlets, yogurt & raspberry macaroons and lemon & almond polenta cake that will be decorated as a tennis court. Available daily between 3pm and 6pm Monday to Friday and 1pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, guests can relax and indulge in this tennis themed tea for £52.50 per person.
‘Set’ lunch in HIX at The Albemarle
Throughout Wimbledon, The Albemarle will be offering guests a ‘set’ price lunch, pre-theatre and dinner menu. This menu will change on a daily basis and will offer a selection of classic British seasonal dishes, using local ingredients and will cost £27.50 for two courses or £32.50 for three courses.
‘Tie Break’, ‘Advantage England’ and ‘Match-point’ in The Donovan Bar
The mixologists of the fashionable Donovan Bar will be mixing a series of decadent cocktails in celebration of Wimbledon. The ‘Advantage England’ is a mixture of Chase marmalade vodka, strawberry marmalade, lemon zest and strawberry liqueur, topped up with Champagne. For a fruitier option, try the ‘Match Point’ made with Chase vodka and fresh passion fruit, passion fruit syrup, fresh mint and topped up with tonic water. For the gin lovers, the refreshing ‘Tie Break’ combines Chase Williams gin with the Italian classic, Aperol, and our Donovan Bar bitters that are made specially by the in-house mixologists.
