September 2010 - With summer now but a distant memory, parents’ minds are turning to the next school holidays. Having recently been awarded the accolade of Best Family Programme at the 2010 Virtuoso Best of the Best Hotel Awards, Verdura Golf & Spa Resort in Sicily makes for the perfect choice for an unforgettable family holiday.

And with an extensive mile long beach, Verdura is ideally situated for water sports and offers sailing, windsurfing and stand-up paddling – the trendy new pursuit from Hawaii tested out at the resort by the German national football team before they left for the World Cup in South Africa.

Mother and daughter can indulge in a spot of pampering at the Verdura Spa, with treatments specifically designed for teenage skin available.
