Our story

Creative Director Salvatore Calabrese, the bar ‘maestro’, has developed our ‘Spirit of Igiea’ cocktail menu with innovative twists on modern classics, inspired by Sicilian flavours and stories of the illustrious guests to have graced the corridors of our grand hotel Villa Igiea. Our ingredients are handpicked from the Igiea herb, vegetable and fruit garden as well as Verdura Resort’s bountiful orchards where we grow the finest almonds, olives and lemons.

Menu

Open from lunchtime onwards, our sophisticated bar serves Fulvio Pierangelini’s menu of Sicilian snacks and main plates, including a fabulous aperitivo offering and local hero dishes. Enjoy lighter bites from our ‘Light Menu by Fulvio Pierangelini’ including a trio of vegetable tartars, our delicious lentil hamburger and turmeric quinoa salad, as well as all-time classics.

Sempreverde

Refreshing and with soft tones, this cocktail is a tribute to the fruits that the mild Mediterranean climate gives us.

Sgroppino

The creaminess from the ice cream and the aromaticity of the herbs, evoke our garden's flavours and aromas.

Sentiero

Its wild and intense character reveals the authenticity and liveliness of the Mediterranean shrubland.

Crono

Sharp and pungent, this cocktail is a tribute to the vaporous caves of Mount Kronio, a dormant volcano on
the Agrigento coast. 

Magma

This vehement and decisive cocktail is a magma that celebrates the warm flavors of Etna.

Prometeo

Inspired by the myth about the origin of fire, this
cocktail, not excessively alcoholic, gives pleasant notes
of balanced spiciness.

Zaffiro

Salty and with a sparkling blue color, this cocktail captures the flavours of the Mediterranean seabed.

Galatea

Violet copper red, like the fascinating lake of Pergusa that very much inspired Ovid and Pliny, this soft and seductive cocktail is suitable for the most delicate palates.

Martini Isolano

The first recipe that mixes the flavors of sea and land expressing harmony in a unique place is attributed to the Arab domination in Sicily; this is our way of paying homage.

Zahara

While the warm wind of the Sahara blows on our coasts, the warm, sparkling and fragrant notes of this punch delight your palates.

As the embodiment of elegance and tradition of Villa Igiea, our Restaurants & Bar require a smart casual dress code after 7.30pm. We kindly remind guests that shorts, sleeveless shirts and sandals are not allowed.
