Visitor Information
The Balmoral
The Balmoral 1 Princes Street, Edinburgh , EH2 2EQ
Parking
The Balmoral is pleased to offer a valet car parking service. Please be aware that Edinburgh City Council has implemented new social distancing measures on Princes St and, as a result, there are now bollards at our front entrance. As a guest of the hotel, you are still very welcome to temporarily park outside upon arrival and our doorman will greet you and take care of your luggage and parking.
There is a charge of £35 per night for the car park, charged to your room account automatically. The fee is charged on a nightly basis, and therefore will not apply for the day you check out – so there is no need to rush.
Should you wish to self-park outside the hotel premises, there is a multi-storey Q-Park a five-minute walk from the hotel. The Q-Park is located on Greenside Row and offers overnight parking. Reception can provide you with directions.
Dog Friendly
The Balmoral is delighted to welcome your dog. Guests may bring their furry companions and enjoy Edinburgh together under the following terms and conditions:
Dogs are restricted to a weight of under 20lbs. Heavier dogs may stay only if written consent from hotel management is received prior to your stay.
Only one dog is allowed per room.
A fee of £50 per stay, or every 15 nights, will be applied (excluding assistance dogs). Our furry guests will receive a Dog Welcome Pack consisting of a bed, water bowl, welcoming treats, list of dog-friendly local establishments and list of local dog walkers.
Please do not leave your dog unattended in your guest room. Our Front Desk team is happy to provide a list of dog-sitters should you require it.
The Housekeeping Department will only service the guest room when a dog is not in the room.
We ask that dogs are kept on a leash while on hotel property when outside the guestroom or suite.
Dogs are not allowed in any food and beverage outlet, Spa and Fitness area, or Pool area within the hotel. This policy does not apply to assistance dogs.
Barking must be controlled to avoid the disturbance of other guests.
Guests must always clean up after their dog.
Guests are responsible for all property damages and personal injuries resulting from their dog.
Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the hotel and its owners from any damage suffered as a result of their dog.
The hotel reserves the right to charge a guest’s account commensurate to the cost of any damages.
A cleaning fee of £250 will be applied to cover any speciality deep cleaning post-checkout.
