The Beer A Legend
In the 16th century, the building housing the Amigo was the city prison, and at the time a craft beer was brewed inside the walls. This beer was brewed by the prisoners themselves to a recipe that was to be kept a secret and only transmitted orally. If the prisoners did not follow these rules, it meant immediate execution.
Over time, the small brewery disappeared, carrying with it the recipe.
Recently, a prisoner’s diary has been found in the cellars of Hotel Amigo. This revealed the secret recipe buried in the history of the building.
Upon this discovery, we gave a second breath to this treasure.
