The Festival was founded in the year of the 100th anniversary of Sergei Diaghilev’s “Les Saisons Russes” in St Petersburg, which had given to the great impresario of the XX century the initial start and inspiration. During the 5 years since then the Festival has become one of the major cultural events in the city. It has brought to St Petersburg tours of the best contemporary dance companies.
100 years of October revolution

The October revolution is also known as the Great October Socialist Revolution or Bolshevik Revolution. It is one of the major political events of XX century that happened on 25 October (7 November new style) in 1917 in Petrograd (St. Petersburg). The Bolshevik Party seized power in Russia, inaugurating the Soviet regime. In 2017 it will be 100 years since this important day in history and, thus, various historical exhibitions and events of educational character will take place throughout the city.
It is a unique chance to dip into the history of Russia.
Nefertari and the Valley of the Queen” exhibition at Hermitage museum

The collection of the Egyptian Museum in Turin is exhibited at Hermitage Museum. It is the largest collection of monuments outside of Egypt. The exposition consists of five sections and includes more than two hundred and fifty items. Some of them are finds from the Egyptian settlement, where artisans and artists lived. The collection is complemented by the details of palace decorations and jewellery. You can immerse yourself in the world of Ancient Egypt.
