About At The Charles Hotel
Sophia’s Restaurant is one of the best in Munich, exemplifying botanical bistronomy as envisioned by our Executive Chef and former Michelin star holder, Michael Hüsken. Bringing lush verdancy into the elegant dining room, the menu at Sophia’s is inspired by its neighbour; Munich’s Old Botanical Garden.
Presented simply, served warmly, and tasting sensational, the fine cuisine at Sophia’s showcases sensational regional produce that’s been hand-picked from local producers; quality is paramount. Meat and fish, from high-quality game to local trout, is sourced from heritage producer, Gutshof-Polting. Succulent Bavarian shrimp from Crusta Nova. And handcrafted cheese, as selected by Tölzer Kasladen, is brought in from dairies, alpine farms, and monasteries.
The eclectic menu mixes locally-inspired seasonal dishes with more international and Asian-inspired offerings. For a refined, vibrant meal, enjoyed in our high-ceilinged dining room in amongst the towering fig trees or on our leafy terrace, we welcome you to Sophia’s.
