Taormina

Flying over the rolling countryside to Calatabiano Airfield, framed by the Ionian Sea in the shadow of Mount Etna, this full day tour of the hilltop town of Taormina starts with a traditional Sicilian breakfast of pastries and granita at BamBar, a local favourite. Visit the nearby Greek Theatre of Taormina where your guide will set the stage for its Greek-Roman history and architectural wonders. Lunch comes with a coastal view and dishes laden with fresh seafood at Vicolo Stretto. The evening setting sun will guide your helicopter back to Verdura Resort later that afternoon.

Perfect for nature lovers, the estate is also a wilderness sanctuary 400 metres above sea level with views of Lake Arancio. Enjoy a light lunch in the founder’s dining room before flying back to the resort by way of the Selinunte archeological site.
