OLGA POLIZZI REVEALS THE REDESIGNED CLARENDON ROOM AT BROWN’S HOTEL
This autumn sees the re-launch of the Clarendon Room in Brown’s Hotel. Olga Polizzi, Director of Design, has added her own elegant style to the largest of the private dining rooms in the hotel. The Clarendon Room is now a celebration of Rudyard Kipling, who wrote a number of works whilst staying at Brown's, including ‘The Jungle Book’. The bespoke hand-painted wall-coverings, designed by Adam Ellis, are inspired by Kipling's poem, ‘The Way Through The Woods’ and even include written extracts from the poem. Olga Polizzi has chosen a light wooden floor, creating a bright, elegant and glamorous function room, suitable for the array of events that Brown’s is proud to host.
The Clarendon Room situated on the ground floor, is Brown’s largest private dining room (76m² ) and is perfect for banquets, weddings (it is licensed) and meetings for up to 70 people. Boasting tall windows over Dover Street this sophisticated room is perfect for exclusive events, and guests visiting this room can make use of the hotel’s private entrance on Dover Street. The Clarendon Room is named after the Earl of Clarendon, who resided on this site when it was Clarendon House during the 1860s.
