Press Release

Italy is known for delicious pizza and pasta, Germany for its choice of sausages, and Scotland for traditional Haggis. In Belgium, it’s all about the chocolate. Brussels is estimated to house over 2,000 chocolatiers, making it the destination of choice for cocoa enthusiasts all over the world.

During this year’s Easter break, Hotel Amigo, a Rocco Forte hotel, is delighted to offer a special experience that is perfect for chocolate lovers visiting the city.

Hotel Amigo’s Chocolate Break Experience includes a special workshop inside Laurent Gerbaud’s Atelier. In the traditional chocolatier, just a few steps from Hotel Amigo, guests can learn how to create their own chocolate with guidance from a master chocolatier. In addition to learning from the experts, guests will also be gifted with a delicious collection of Easter themed chocolates, from the Atelier.

Inspired by his travels to the Far East, famous Belgian Maître chocolatier Laurent Gerbaud blends chocolate, fruit and spices to create chocolates that are unique and exquisite in flavour. His journey began with dark chocolate coated kumquats (candied oranges), and has now extended to apricots, lemon peels, figs, grapefruit, plums, pears, nuts, and much more.

Guests staying at Hotel Amigo on Easter Sunday, 16th April, will be able to enjoy a delicious Italian Easter Brunch at BoCConi restaurant, and for younger guests, an Easter egg hunt has been organized in the hotel.

Chocolate Break Experience:

From € 344 per nightfor a minimum two nights stay in a Classic Room, service and VAT included (City tax excluded). The package includes breakfast, Easter chocolate gift and chocolate workshop for two people.
