Press Release

THE NIJINSKY SUITE AT THE HOTEL DE RUSSIE

Enjoying the hospitality in the mythical Hotel belonging to Sir Rocco Forte is like living in an exclusive Roman residence.

Staying in a hotel, by nature a temporary situation, becomes like living in one’s home in Rome.

The Nijinsky Suite is a remarkable home, dedicated to the famous dancer and choreographer, now the most prestigious and spacious suite in the Hotel de Russie in the heart of the Eternal City, situated between Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna.

The 172 square metres Suite is a proper apartment with rooms that can be connected or be separated, according to your requirements, like a stylish and functional home: a small but elegant hall leading to a double deluxe room (can be internally connected), a bright entrance with a bookcase study, a comfortable and light sitting room adjoining the dining room equipped with a 50 inch plasma TV screen. The sleeping area is very spacious, the stylish bathroom is reminiscent of the atmosphere in Roman thermal baths with precious marbles, mosaics and a Turkish bath. A well equipped bar area will enable guests to prepare their own favourite cocktails.

An impeccable service and a modern equipped kitchen enable guests to entertain for private or business meals. The table can be laid elegantly indoors or on the magnificent terrace.

For this ‘Roman residence’ Olga Polizzi, the Rocco Forte Hotels Design Director, like a refined and mindful landlady, has found solutions offering maximum comfort to future tenants.

Everywhere discreet luxury, essential and minimalist but never exasperated, a quest for those exclusive ‘comforts’ already tested in previous work undertaken by Olga Polizzi who is always charged with choosing the interior furnishings of the different Rocco Forte Hotels hotels and adapting the decorations to the local environment.

And for the Nijinsky Suite, previously known as the ‘Celebrity Suite’, an even greater attention was sought for its famous guests. The 239 square metres suite is on the 6th floor (the top floor) of the hotel and enjoys a spectacular terrace with flowers and green plants, furnished with comfortable wooden sun lounges, large teak tables for dining under the discreet and striking light of roman torches.

The Nijinsky Suite offers absolute privacy for your stay, a peaceful oasis in the heart of Rome from where to admire the famous sunsets, the baroque clouds and Villa Borghese: memorable souvenirs of a privileged visit.
