THE BALMORAL ENGAGES WITH ITS MOST TREASURED LITTLE GUESTS AS IT LAUNCHES A CHILDREN’S ADVISORY BOARD
Edinburgh, 2014 – Rocco Forte’s The Balmoral has launched its Children’s Advisory Board to ensure the hotel’s most treasured little guests enjoy a 5 star experience to remember.
A group of children from Edinburgh Academy have been appointed to the board as the official experts on all child friendly ameneties, activities and family dining at this iconic Edinburgh landmark hotel.
On their first visit the Children’s Advisory Board spent a day at the iconic landmark hotel testing the the family friendly products on offer to ensure that visiting children receive the very best of Scottish hospitality during their stay.
The Balmoral’s General Manager, Franck Arnold, said:
“It has been a fantastic exercise working with the children to get their honest feedback on what they are looking for from a hotel experience. We had some brilliant ideas from the youngsters during their visit, many of which we will be putting into place over the next year.
“We know that if the children are happy and entertained during their stay with us then the parents are even happier. This ongoing relationship with the children from Edinburgh Academy will ensure that all families visiting the hotel will receive a tailor-made experience for their children.”
The Children’s Advisory Board met with the hotel’s concierge team during their visit to discuss their favourite activities and attractions in the city and ensure that staff are familiar with the best places for families to visit during their stay. They also spent time with the Head Chef of Hadrian’s Brasserie to ensure that all their culinary favourites were included in the menu.
As a result of the first Children’s Advisory Board meeting, The Balmoral has introduced a Kids Passport for all young guests. The passport will act as a guide to the hotel and the city, offering surprises for each child during their visit. In addition, children will receive a welcome treat on arrival catered to their age group and a teddy turndown during their stay.
The Balmoral’s Family Packages start from £260 bed and breakfast including an interconnecting or adjacent room for 2 children up to the age of 16. To make a reservation visit www.roccofortehotels.com or call +44 131 556 2414.
