SUMMER GOURMET EVENTS AT VERDURA RESORT
Michelin-starred dinners with Chef Pierangelini, a new Sushi bar and Ferragosto celebrations under the stars.
Friday, 12th August: Chef’s Open Table with Fulvio Pierangelini
Celebrity Chef Fulvio Pierangelini, Director of Food at Rocco Forte Hotels, invites you to join him at his private dinner table. In the intimate setting of the terrace of Zagara Restaurant, Chef Pierangelini will unveil the secrets of some of his most famous dishes, using the freshest local Sicilian produce and ingredients. The ten guests will enjoy a 5 course menu and will assist in live cooking alongside the infamous Chef. € 190 per person (beverages not included).
From 6th August to 3rd September: Umi Ai Sushi Bar
Umi-Ai ,’Love Sea’” in Japanese, is the new Sushi Bar at Amare, Verdura Resort's fish restaurant overlooking the Mediterrenean sea.Named after the restaurant, the Sushi bar brings delicious Japanese dishes using the freshest of ingredients, in the perfect waterside setting.
Guests can expect a selection of traditional sashimi and sushi rolls prepared by the talented Japanese Chef Jun Takagi. In addition to these sushi favourites, guests can also enjoy a range of original dishes, created with delicious local ingredients, such as red prawns from Mazzara del Vallo, Sciaccan pink shrimps, and pistachios.
All the fish is caught locally and delivered daily by our local fishermen. Other traditional Japanese dishes will be available such as miso soup, seaweed salad and ice creams, with special sake cocktails, and a selection of sakes, beer and teas.
Umi Ai will be open 6 days a week, from 6:00pm to 10:30pm for an aperitif or a full dinner.
Monday, 15th August: Ferragosto under the stars
Celebrate the night of Ferragosto – Italian Festivity – with a traditional barbeque: fresh fish and meat from the grill, a pasta live cooking station and Sicilian desserts.
Expect a unique event in our charming candelight olive grove with live music enternteinment from 7:30pm.

Tuesday, 23rd August: 6-hands dinner with Michelin-starred Chefs
In the beautiful setting of Amare restaurant, guests can experience an exciting culinary journey through Italian cuisine with three Michelin-starred chefs - Fulvio Pierangelini, Director of Food for Rocco Forte Hotels; Pino Cuttaia, 2 Michelin-starred chef at La Madia Restaurant (Sicily); and Cristiano Tomei, 1 Michelin-starred chef at L’Imbuto Restaurant (Tuscany).
This is the second event of “De Rerum Natura”, ‘About Nature’, a series of exclusive culinary experiences with Fulvio Pierangelini and renowned Chefs from across the world. With similar philosophies, each of the participating chefs will create sensational and innovative dishes using the simplest ingredients through a natural way of cooking.
The August event will see three prolific chefs guide Verdura’s guests on an enticing culinary journey through the fresh and seasonal produce of the island of Sicily. € 145,00 per person (food only) or € 175,00 per person (with wine pairing).
In celebration of this exciting event, Verdura has created a special package which includes a four-night stay in a Deluxe Room and the 6-hands dinner with wine pairing from € 725 per room, per night.
