Package Details

This summer, discover the enchanting spirit of the 83rd annual edition of the Maggio Musicale festival with an operatic overnight stay at Hotel Savoy. As part of this curated package, you’ll enjoy an inimitable performance of Marina Abramović’s 7 Deaths of Maria Callas, with music by Marko Nikodijević, on Saturday 6th June 2020.

Your once-in-a-lifetime weekend begins in your stylish room or suite, where luxury welcome amenities and VIP tickets await. Then, head to the esteemed Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, one of the world’s newest opera houses, to take your seats as the red curtains rise.

Marina Abramović’s incredibly moving performance reinterprets seven of Maria Callas’s on-stage deaths in her most iconic roles, including Tosca, Carmen, and Madam Butterfly, ending the show with the “final” death of Callas herself. The controversial artist idolised Callas from a young age and decided to pay the ultimate tribute to the celebrated soprano’s legacy.

Finally, return to Hotel Savoy and discuss the show over a lavish 5-course Tuscan tasting menu at Irene Bistro. Two flutes of Perrier-Jouët Champagne are included for an apt toast to your experience.

Package includes:

  • A minimum 3-night stay with daily breakfast in a Piazza View Room or above; book a suite and enjoy the additional benefits of the Rocco Forte Suite experience

  • Two VIP tickets for Marina Abramović's 7 Deaths of Maria Callas Opera Performance (playbill included) on Saturday 6th June 2020 at 3.30 pm

  • Luxury welcome amenity upon arrival

  • A 5-course tasting menu for two at Irene Bistro including two flutes of Perrier-Jouët Champagne (excluding wines)
