BROWN’S HOTEL BRINGS SCOTCH POP UP BAR FROM THE BALMORAL HOTEL TO MAYFAIR IN TIME FOR BURNS NIGHT BANQUET SUPPORTED BY GLENMORANGIE

Brown’s Hotel announces a pop up Scotch Bar in the newly refurbished Library, in celebration of Burns Night, and as a tribute to SCOTCH at its sister Rocco Forte hotel, The Balmoral in Edinburgh. Brown’s Hotel will transform The Library, adjacent to the renowned Donovan Bar, in Brown’s Hotel, into a haven for whisky lovers for a two week period from 22nd January until 8th February 2015, with a stylish display of 40 whiskies that will be available to Mayfair visitors.

Glenmorangie is the proud partner of this event and will be launching Glenmorangie Private Edition VI on the day of the opening, where there will also be five additional Glenmorangie expressions on offer. These include Glenmorangie Original, Glenmorangie Signet, Glenmorangie 18 Year Old, Glenmorangie 25 Year Old and for those looking for the ultimate dram, there will be the exclusive Glenmorangie Pride 1978, at £400 per dram.

The iconic SCOTCH at Brown’s Hotel will feature an impressive collection of 40 whiskies from Scotland’s traditional whisky regions including Speyside, Islay, Campbeltown, the Islands, the Highlands and the Lowlands in a variety of blends, malts and vintages dating back to 1940. One of SCOTCH’s highly trained Whisky Ambassadors, Fraser Robson, will be running SCOTCH at Brown’s pop up bar and offering guests advice when selecting a dram.

A glass of whisky in SCOTCH is served with a selection of bar snacks including smoked almonds, wild boar salami and dark Swiss chocolate, selected to complement the wide variety of whisky flavours on offer.

SCOTCH in The Library at Brown’s Hotel will be open from 6pm – 1am from 22nd January until 8th February 2015.

BURNS NIGHT BANQUET WITH MARK HIX, HARDEEP SINGH-KOHLI AND DR.BILL LUMSDEN SUPPORTED BY GLENMORANGIE

Friday 23rd January 2015. £110 per person On Friday 23rd January 2015, from 7pm, Mark Hix, Director of Food at Brown’s Hotel, Hardeep Singh Kohli, comedian, broadcaster and foodie and Dr. Bill Lumsden, Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation, will be hosting a Burns Night Banquet in HIX Mayfair at Brown’s Hotel. Celebrate the life and poetry of Robbie Burns in an elegant setting and enjoy a traditional Scottish supper with culinary twists from Hix and Hardeep and with Glenmorangie whiskies paired with each course.
