With a great number of parks, gardens, forests and squares, through its abundance of green spaces, Brussels offers tranquillity and relaxation to its inhabitants and visitors. This summer, the City of Brussels has organised Flowertime 2015, in conjunction with the biannual Flower Carpet, bringing the beauty of nature into the historical buildings of the city.

This special event will transform Brussels City Hall and the Grand-Place into a stunning flower display. During Flowertime, rooms in the majestic Town Hall that are rarely open to the public, such as the Ships Hall and the Gallery Grangé, will be decked in colourful masterpieces created by renowned landscape architects and floral artists.

Flowertime 2015 will take place from 13th to 16th August, with the theme of Italian Baroque: transporting Italian gardens into the heart of the city. Visitors will have the chance to walk through the gardens of the Grand-Place and wander through the magnificent rooms of the City Hall, to view the floral arrangements.

With its ideal central location just few steps from the Grand Place and the Town Hall, Hotel Amigo, official and exclusive partner of Flowertime, is the perfect starting point for all those who are curious to discover this exclusive event whilst enjoying the refined services of a five star hotel.

On this unique occasion, Hotel Amigo will team up with famous Belgian parfumerie, L’Antichambre, who produce tailor-made perfumes and candles available from their beautiful shop in the heart of Brussels.

The grand door of the Hotel will be the gateway to a sensorial enchantment. A scented walk will lead the guests to the olfactory garden located in the lobby of the hotel, where they will have the chance to discover fragrances created by L’Antichambre.

“Le Voyageur indiscret” is the custom scent created by L’Antichambre to perfume the lobby and bar with a subtle aroma of lavender, cinnamon, nutmeg and sandalwood. Hotel Amigo will also take its guests on a journey with special decorations in the lobby, candle testing and a special pop up store where the guests can buy the candles they liked as a souvenir.

The Flowertime Package is available at Hotel Amigo from 7 to 23 August 2015. This experience includes a set of three floral candles selected by L’Antichambre and two tickets to the Flowertime event.

For the guests staying on August 12th, the Hotel will provide personal invitations to the inauguration cocktail party that will take place in the City Hall’s courtyard, an exceptional and historical UNESCO world heritage building.

The floral theme continues at Bar Amigo where guests can relax with the welcome flower cocktail “Frozen Bubbles” composed of Armagnac, Hibiscus flower syrup and Champagne, created for the occasion by the hotel’s Head Barman.

The Flower time package is available from 7th to 23rd August 2015.

Rate: from €279, 00 for a classic room for two per night, service and Vat included (City tax of €9,28 excluded). This offer includes one ticket per person to the Flowertime 2015, a buffet breakfast for two at our restaurant BoCConi, a set of three candles from L’Antichambre, a welcome cocktail per person the “Frozen Bubbles”, an upgrade in a Deluxe room (upon the availability) and a late check-out at 4:00pm.

Eight years ago, Anne Pascale Mathy-Devalck had the desire to create customized cosmetics... and time went by. Four years later, she shared the idea with a friend who had found a book of ancient perfume formulas in her mother’s belongings. Their initial idea was to bring those vintage perfumes back to life. But Anne Pascale recalled her original inspiration and began dreaming of a place where one could imagine and create unique fragrances.

An elegant bottle, a custom label, a beautiful box... for an exceptional elixir. And rest assured that here, the secret of your formula is closely guarded L’Antichambre also offers its own blends composed in Grasse according to Anne Pascale’s desires. These are available in Eau de Parfum or Perfume, for women and men, as well as hypoallergenic.
