Salvatore Calabrese’s Vintage Honey Bee Cocktail
Food & Drink
24 October 2018
Master mixologist Salvatore Calabrese is renowned for his infectious passion for vintage spirits. From 18th century cognac to gin bottled in the 1960s, Salvatore’s drinks cabinet is a thing of wonder, filled with rare and extraordinary bottles.
For a remarkable gift, treat the cocktail aficionado in your life to a private consultation with Salvatore. Taking place in the Donovan Bar, named Best Bar at Virtuoso’s Best of the Best awards this year, Salvatore’s Bespoke Cocktail Experience involves a one-on-one meeting with the cocktail maestro himself, who will then create a cocktail inspired by you.
For something a little less bespoke but no less delicious, savour the sweet simplicity of Salvatore’s vintage Honey Bee cocktail. Containing only three ingredients, the Honey Bee is a wonderfully uncomplicated cocktail from the 1930s. Some 90 years on, it’s a much-loved fixture on the menu at the Donovan Bar, where its flavour and charm delights a new generation of drinkers.
