DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE DIRNDL DESIGNER SARAH TACK WITH THE CHARLES HOTEL

Rocco Forte Hotels

This is what makes Oktoberfest an unforgettable experience! In exclusive collaboration with the Munich-based traditional costume designer and owner of Dirndl Liebe, Sarah Tack, The Charles Hotel, a Rocco Forte hotel, is offering its guests a very special arrangement.

The established Dirndl designer, who is also a familiar face on German television, will reveal the secrets of her work exclusively for the guests of The Charles Hotel and will give them an exceptional insight into her creative workshop and the production of traditional costumes. “When choosing the materials and creating the costumes, it is important to me that they are of excellent quality and have a certain X factor. All of the exceptional unique pieces produced by Dirndl Liebe are lovingly crafted by hand. These standards of quality and this passion are also of the utmost importance at The Charles Hotel, so I am particularly proud to be involved in this long-standing collaboration,” Sarah Tack enthuses.

The special day begins with a delicious breakfast in one of the luxurious suites. Next, Sarah Tack will greet the Dirndl enthusiast in the lobby and accompany them in a Sixt limousine to her production facility, which has never before opened its doors to the public. After an extensive tour and many interesting details about the secrets of Dirndl Liebe’s success, the evolution of the design, the latest trends and plenty of exciting stories, the journey continues through Bavaria’s beautiful landscape to Sarah Tack’s lovingly designed shop in Brienner Straße. Here a fantastic selection of up to 170 unique Dirndl dresses await the guest, which are entirely made using premium, hand-picked materials. After a professional style consultation, there will be nothing left to stop you choosing your perfect Dirndl. A wealth of blouses, aprons, petticoats and accessories including jewellery and head-dresses complete the unique outfit. You will then return to Sophia's Terrace at The Charles Hotel in your new dirndl, where a glass of champagne and some little edible treats await to help you enjoy a relaxing end to an otherwise exciting day.

The next day will be devoted to making the perfect Oktoberfest appearance. After a beauty treatment in The Charles Spa, stylists Yvonne Kaspar and Susanne Hirsch will look after applying the suitable make-up and Wiesn braided hairstyle.
