The Story

Best known for his two Michelin-starred restaurant Gambero Rosso in San Vincenzo, Fulvio Pierangelini has worked with our head chef Giovanni Cosmai and Florence’s best, local suppliers to create a menu based on the Tuscan classics.

The Philosophy

Changing with the seasons, according to what is gathered from the local markets, foraged in the Tuscan countryside, or sourced from artisanal suppliers in the region, the menu at Irene is a sensational expression of place with a passionate culinary philosophy at its heart. The dishes here are deceptively simple, each bite revealing the artistry of the chefs, the splendour of the ingredients.

The Restaurant

Glamorous and inviting, Irene’s dining room is the ideal place to refresh and recharge during your time in Florence. Taste truffles in all their heady, perfumed glory, a few miles from where they’ve been foraged. Wind your fork around al dente spaghetti, sublimely tangled with fresh, local tomatoes softened and married with fragrant basil.
