Originally from Caserta, Sommelier Nando Papa began his career in Monte Carlo. His professionalism and passion for vino buono saw him runner-up in the wine industry’s version of the Oscars in the year 2000 and honoured with the title of "Chevalier" of the Ordre des Coteaux De Champagne in 2018.
Emanuele Riccobono - Head Chef
Born and raised in Sicily, Emanuele Riccobono’s passion for Italian cuisine emerged when he was young, when he learnt secret local recipes from his father and grandmother.
After completing his diploma, Emanuele started his career in luxury hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants in Sardinia, Venice, Berlin, Prague and elsewhere in Europe. This approach allowed him to learn new techniques and work with ingredients grown around the world.
In 2009 Emanuele decided to return to his homeland and join the Verdura Resort team upon opening. Today, his love for Sicily and respect for local produce and raw ingredients shine through in our menus.
