The Restaurant

Glamorous and inviting, Irene’s dining room is the ideal place to refresh and recharge during your time in Florence. Taste truffles in all their heady, perfumed glory, a few miles from where they’ve been foraged. Wind your fork around al dente spaghetti, sublimely tangled with fresh, local tomatoes softened and married with fragrant basil. Indulge in organic beef, or freshly-caught seafood, grilled on Himalayan Salt Stone.

Head Chef, Giovanni Cosmai, has experience cooking in some of the most important kitchens all over the world. Now, happy to be in Florence, he chooses the freshest and most fragrant ingredients from local farmers and suppliers every morning. He prepares these products with care and respect to offer only the best to Irene's guests each day.

Our story

Changing with the seasons, according to what is gathered from the local markets, foraged in the Tuscan countryside, or sourced from artisanal suppliers in the region, the menu at Irene is a sensational expression of place with a passionate culinary philosophy at its heart. The dishes here are deceptively simple, each bite revealing the artistry of the chefs, the splendour of the ingredients.
