THE CONCEPT
Cuttlefish crudo. Saltcrust catch of the day. Tonnarelli ´Cacio e pepe´ with lobster. This is CHIARO: an Italian in Berlin. A contemporary restaurant, cocktail bar and secret garden. The freshest fish in the city. A menu designed by the Godfather of Italian cooking, Fulvio Pierangelini.
Our three-course lunch menu, designed by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini, changes weekly to offer a choice of seasonal starters and mains alongside a set dessert. Enjoy classic Italian dishes such as Steamed branzino with sautéed asparagus and Saltimbocca alla Romana with spinach in a leisurely setting that transports you back to Italy’s glamorous heyday.
Allow us to indulge your palate before your opera experience. We present a menu featuring dishes including Catch of the Day or Linguine al Limone.
Join our summer soiree in the beautiful CHIARO garden, a hidden oasis in the heart of Berlin. Browse a curated selection of food and drink stalls offering everything from oysters and Berkel-sliced salumi, to our renowned spaghetti ice cream. Sip espresso martinis from a dedicated cocktail station and sample exquisite wines from our exclusive vintner partnership.
Meet the team, such as our sommelier, executive chef, and other team members who'll be delighted to share insights, answer questions and, where possible, offer private tours of the hotel on request. Gather family and friends at CHIARO for a generous Sunday pranzo, just like Nonna used to make. Begin with a delicious spread of antipasti, including creamy burrata and homemade crostini. Platters of pasta are served family-style, before moving on to refined interpretations of classic Italian mains. Finish with something sweet, perhaps traditional tiramisu or fresh lemon tart, and one of our digestivos. Because Sundays are best spent with loved ones, sharing the food that feels like home.

A fond harbinger of spring, the humble asparagus is anything but at CHIARO. Celebrate the season’s centrepiece with our dedicated menu. Tender spears accompanying delicate sea bass tartare and pistachio pesto, baked ‘al cartoccio’ with thyme butter and Golden Queen Caviar, or paired with lamb rump and fresh morel mushrooms.
