Named for the celebrated lensman, our Lichfield Bar is at once stylish and intimate, its walls hung with monochrome nudes shot by Lord Lichfield himself. High ceilings and period features including a grand, marble fireplace are complemented by burgundy drapes, deep leather armchairs and dark wood tables. Take a seat at the elegant bar, lit by Art Deco lamps, or sink into an armchair amongst flickering candles and sip a glass of chilled vodka or a classic cocktail in a unique ambience.

Our Story

The bar is named after the famous British photographer and first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, Lord Patrick Lichfield. Thanks to the closeness to the high society, as well as his exquisite manners and the playboy reputation, he became a hero of multiple photo sessions – none of which though can be compared to the amount of photo masterpieces which he created himself.

The heroes of his photos were actors, musicians, models, as well as ordinary people. He imprinted in film “the swinging 60s”, and in 1990s he was among the first to use digital technology in photography. Lord Lichfield worked for the best glossy and fashion magazines of United Kingdom, as well as took photos of the Royal family. By the way, it is thanks to his photos that the Britain has taken a different look at their Queen: in his shots Elizabeth II is presented as a passionate, emotional, live and energetic woman – which however never loses the royal dignity.

The walls of the bar are decorated by some of his best photography works: portraits of Meryl Streep, Evan Macgregor, Colin Farrell, as well as unique photos from the wedding of Mick and Bianca Jagger. Among other famous works by maestro – wedding photos of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer in 1981, as well as a series of photos of Soviet reality, which was done by Lord Lichfield during his visit to USSR in 1989.
