Afternoon Tea Masterclass

FOR BALMORAL HOTEL GUESTS ONLY   Our Afternoon Tea Masterclass promises to unlock the history of a very British ritual in this unique offering for the city. Learn about the origins and etiquette of this tradition over delicate finger sandwiches, scones and expertly poured tea.   EXPERIENCE INCLUDES: A guided explanation of the finer points of Afternoon Tea - from the Scot who first took tea from China in the 19th century to the etiquette of the ritual. Afternoon Tea including homemade scones, sandwiches and a selection of seasonal pastries. An Afternoon Tea Masterclass brochure outlining the history of the tradition and tips for making the perfect pot of tea. Languages available: English, French and German. A translator for other languages can be booked if required.   Afternoon Tea starts from £45 per person. Guests can book a private masterclass where a guide, and a translator if required, will join them for a supplement of £230 per sitting. Afternoon Tea sittings take place at 12.00pm, 2.30pm and 5.00pm each day with a recommended duration of 2 hours.   1 to 5 guests: Masterclass will take place in Palm Court (subject to availability).6 to 12 guests: Masterclass will take place in The Gallery.13 to 20 guests: Masterclass will take place in The Gallery. The private masterclass supplement for groups of this size will be £400 per sitting.
