Head Chef Luigi Barletta
As a child growing up in the Apulian port of Monopoli Luigi Barletta was fascinated by its rich local culture and flavours. After graduating in hospitality, he decided to turn his passion for food into his profession and began his career working in restaurants in Germany. Joining the Rocco Forte family as the Sous Chef at The Charles in 2015 Barletta got the chance to meet and cook with Fulvio Pierangelini. Inspired by Pierangelini’s gastronomic philosophy, he sought to make an impression on the Maestro and succeeded. Luigi Barletta is now realising his culinary dreams in his homeland of Puglia as Masseria Torre Maizza’s Head Chef.
