Facing Bernini’s Triton fountain on its eponymous square, this former aristocratic villa was designed by master architects and artisans. Its ornate exterior, frescoed ceilings and iconic, spiralling Borromini staircase rendered it a must-see on the Grand Tours of the 1800s; it has lost none of its grandeur since. Today it houses the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Antica – admire astonishing works of art from Italian Masters including Raphael, Caravaggio and Tintoretto on the first floor; and on the second, breath-taking works 18th century works.
Tenuta di Fiorano Visit and Tasting
Our visit to the Tenuta di Fiorano, a farm and estate on the slopes of the Latium Volcano, lets you sample the food and drink of the region mere steps from where it’s grown. Sip the estate’s Fiorano Rosso after a walk through the vineyards and taste the olive oil pressed from its groves. Agriculturally self-sufficient and organic, it’s a beautifully balanced ecosystem situated in the most stunning Italian landscape.
