From Tintin to the Jungle, Exploring Family-Friendly Suites

Rocco Forte Hotels

From London’s storied streets to the comic-daubed corners of Brussels, Rocco Forte Hotels offers a collection of suites created with families in mind. Each space is deeply connected to its surroundings, seamlessly integrating custom furnishings, local materials, and subtle references to the culture beyond its walls.

With connecting rooms, generous layouts, and considered details for every age, our signature suites invite families to experience a destination with all the comforts of home.

For the adventurous at ‘art’

In the heart of Brussels, just moments from the Grand Place, Hotel Amigo’s Tintin Suite offers a playful take on Belgian heritage. Created in partnership with Moulinsart and the Hergé Museum, it celebrates the iconic comic, complete with original artwork, vintage editions, and Snowy, Tintin’s loyal companion, waiting by the door.

The interiors blend clean lines with characterful touches: Tintin motifs appear on cushions and linen, while a signed sketch by Steven Spielberg adds a distinctive detail. With an adjoining room for families and a breakfast corner set with themed tableware, it’s a space made for story-filled stays.

Step outside and the trail continues: a city-wide treasure hunt of comic murals, museums, and bookshops - interspersed with Brussels’ legendary chocolate shops - all curated by the hotel’s dedicated Comic Concierge.

For the bookworms

Tucked among the historic streets of Mayfair, Brown’s Hotel is steeped in London’s literary past  - nowhere more so than in the Kipling Suite. Named after Rudyard Kipling, who penned The Jungle Book here, it’s filled with whimsical nods to his celebrated novel – a bronze monkey by the door, hand-painted jungle wallpaper, and a framed letter from the author himself.

A cosy library filled with classics sets the scene for storytime, while your own little monkeys have space to play. Beyond the suite, children can delight in a special afternoon tea of mini sweet treats followed by kid-friendly treatments at The Spa, complete with mini fluffy robes and slippers.

On your doorstep, the greenery of Hyde Park is perfect for running off some steam or for boating around the lake, while evenings call for the magic of a West End show.

For the treasure hunters

Between terracotta rooftops and cobbled streets, Hotel de Russie offers a thoughtful take on family stays in The Eternal City.  The newly refurbished Junior Suite and Junior Suite Deluxe can be seamlessly connected, forming a generous family space overlooking Via del Babuino and the domes of Piazza del Popolo. Designed by Olga Polizzi in collaboration with Studio Ferrari, the interiors bring together sculptural accents, mirrored geometry, and soft botanical tones - a quiet contrast to the city’s energy below.

Bringing ancient Rome to life is hungry work, so before a day exploring the Eternal City, begin with a leisurely breakfast in Le Jardin, while little ones join Gianlorenzo -  the hotel’s frog mascot - on a treasure hunt through the garden.  On Sundays, Sala Torlonia becomes his kingdom, with entertainment for young guests.

Rocco Forte Hotels reimagines family travel with spaces that feel considered, connected and rooted in place. Book your family stay this summer and experience the city together.
