Bel'Oeuf 2026

Step into a world of imagination at the fourth edition of Bel’Œuf, Brussels’ annual celebration of chocolate and craftsmanship. Forty of the country’s most talented chocolatiers, including the exhibition’s creator Marc Ducobu, alongside Pierre Marcolini, Christophe Morel and many more, have been invited to create a sculptural Easter egg inspired by a shared theme.

This year’s theme, “Pleasure in Motion,” has resulted in a collection of extraordinary, one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the line between art and confectionery.

The creations will be on display at Hotel Amigo’s Ambassador Room, from 2nd–8th April, with profits from each piece sold, as well as exhibition entrance fees, donated to Télévie, supporting vital cancer research.

Open from 10am to 17pm | Ambassador Room

The Story

Belgium has long stood for excellence in chocolate, and Bel’Œuf celebrates its most artistic expression.

The exhibition was first launched in 2023 by Ducobu, a member of Relais Desserts, in collaboration with Hotel Amigo. The original idea was modest: to gather a small group of fellow chocolatiers, friends and colleagues, and invite them to create chocolate eggs for a shared exhibition.

It was meant as a moment to meet, connect, and celebrate their craft. Yet what began as a simple gathering has quickly grown into something much larger. Today, Bel’Œuf offers chocolatiers a rare opportunity to step beyond their usual creations, experimenting with scale, design and storytelling. The exhibition showcases the creativity, innovation and technical mastery that define Belgian chocolate today, while giving each participant the freedom to express their own vision.

Pleasure in motion

Each edition of Bel’Œuf revolves around a shared creative theme, the selection of which has become a ritual in itself for Ducobu and Hotel Manager Carlo Ferrigno. Each year, they sit down together and ask a simple question: how can we surprise?

For 2026, inspiration comes from Brussels itself under the theme Pleasure in Motion.” From the elegant curves of the AutoWorld Museum’s classic cars to the flowing lines of Victor Horta’s Art Nouveau architecture, the city provides the starting point. The results are sculptural, dynamic and imaginative: chocolate creations that seem almost alive with movement.

Supporting Télévie

Beyond creativity, Bel’Œuf carries a deeper purpose. Profits from the sale of the chocolate eggs, along with exhibition entry fees, are donated to Belgian charity Télévie, helping to fund research into cancer and leukaemia in both children and adults.

In this way, the exhibition reflects the very spirit that inspired it: creation, generosity and the power of art to bring people together.
