Our Rocco Forte Kids programme ensures younger guests will be just as pampered as the grown-ups. We welcome children of all ages – our programme is tailored for babies (ages 0-3), kids (ages 4-12) and teens (ages 13-16).

Each of our hotels has a special animal theme with details that children will love, from personalised Rocco Forte Kids passport at check-in and welcome treats, to pint-sized bathrobes and slippers and animal cuddly toys. Older guests can enjoy bespoke itineraries created by our Concierge team, special spa treatments or interactive entertainment in their rooms.

Charly the lion is named after The Charles Hotel where he lives. He takes breakfast everyday on the terrace and is not scary at all.

Tree Climbing in the Woods

Climb high in the forest of Vaterstetten, half an hour's drive from The Charles Hotel, on a fun adventure for the whole family. Explore twelve treetop courses across more than 21,000 square meters of Munich jungle. A visit to the Hellabrunn Zoo

Animal lovers of all ages will be enchanted by Munich's Hellabrunn Zoo. Discover a fascinating variety of more than 500 animal species from across all continents. The spacious, naturally designed animal park is in the landscape protection area of ​​the Isar meadows. It offers numerous opportunities to not only learn something about the 18,500 resident animals but also about the importance of nature and species protection. Wildpark Poing: A natural experience for the whole family

The Poing wildlife park just outside Munich offers the opportunity to see native wild species in their natural habitat whatever the time of year. Spot red deer, fallow deer and other animals up close on a four km forest and meadow hiking trail before enjoying a meal in the picnic area. Then let the children expend some energy at the adjoining adventure playground which has play equipment for all ages. With so many opportunities to explore, discover and relax, the Wildpark Poing is the perfect destination for a family outing.

Rides and slides in Skyline Park

It's one big adventure for the whole family in Bavaria's largest amusement park. With more than 60 rides and attractions including roller coasters, wild water slides and children's carousels, the Skyline Park in Allgäu provides guaranteed fun. Whizz down the giant slide together, feed the goats at the children's farm or take a pedal boat ride on the lake – there's an attraction to suit everyone here. Food options are plentiful too in the park's Bavarian beer gardens and kiosks. Skyline Park is 40 minutes from Munich by car.

Therme Erding: the world's largest spa

Around 40 minutes by car from Munich, you'll find the largest thermal baths in the world. The perfect place to spend a day with family, the baths are balmy year round. In the adventure pools, young and old alike can zoom down 28 water slides and enjoy some adrenaline-fuelled fun. Meanwhile, the wave pool, with its five different wave strengths and palm trees hemming its edges, provides a wonderful holiday feeling. Families with older children aged 16 or above can seek wellness and relaxation in the classic spa area of ​​the thermal baths.

SEA LIFE Munich: an underwater world

Discover the fascinating underwater world of SEA LIFE Munich. This popular aquarium in the Munich Olympic Park extends over 2,200 square metres and contains 150 different species of sea animals, from jellyfish to sharks. One highlight is immersing yourself in a breathtaking tropical underwater world as you wander the ten metre long tunnel through the aquarium. Fun and excitement at BMW Welt

BMW World Munich makes a great day out for car enthusiasts, whatever their age. Kids can explore the current BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce models and even get their hands on the steering wheels for some pretend driving while adults can learn more about vehicle innovations and new technologies. There's even a driving simulator in which children can press the ignition button themselves, then put their foot on the accelerator pedal and watch the landscape flash past them.

Bavaria Filmstadt – Munich's answer to Hollywood

The Bavaria Filmstadt on the outskirts of Munich is the perfect destination for film-loving children (and adults). Take part in a guided tour of the extensive media campus and get a glimpse behind the scenes of many well-known series and films. For younger film fans can discover the sets of Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver as well as Jim Button and the Wild 13. Adult movie buffs may recognise the submarine U 96 from Wolfgang Petersen's film Das Boot.
