Cocooned by skilfully cultivated olive groves, Casetta nell’Orto – the cottage in our vegetable garden – is a unique space designed by Fulvio Pierangelini, Rocco Forte Hotels’ Creative Director of Food, where you can discover and taste freshly grown food and experience the best of healthy living.

Our Organic Garden

This summer, wander through rows of the vegetables and herbs of our organic garden, guided by our gardener, and learn about the varieties cultivated in tune with the seasonality of our land. Select and transform seasonal produce into flavourful dishes in the company of our knowledgeable chefs at our kitchen in the Casetta nell’Orto.

From the story of the garden to the tasting of the dishes prepared together, this experience is dedicated to sharing. An ideal opportunity to bring together friends and family (up to 12 people) and celebrate the gifts of our land in a magical setting.

Sicilian Flavours

Our chefs will teach you to make some of Verdura’s most popular dishes with the freshest local ingredients. Greens hand-picked from our vegetable garden. Oranges and olives plucked from our trees. And much more.

Cooking classes are available daily upon request. You will have the opportunity to walk in our beautiful vegetable garden, know more about the season produce grown at the resort and differences between the varieties; then straight to the internal kitchen equipped with live cooking stations and preparation of the dishes such a Maccherroncino alla Norma and Sicilian Caponata.

Our Sicilian cooking class focuses on Verdura’s most popular dishes with the freshest local ingredients, featuring greens hand-picked from our vegetable garden and oranges and olives plucked from our trees.
