An Engraver, a Library, a Litography
This walk through the historic center of Rome explores traditional crafts. It includes a visit to the world’s oldest lithographic workshop, founded in Paris in 1818 and later moved to Rome in 1840. You will also stop by an ancient bookshop, virtually unchanged since the 19th century, with unique sliding display cases and secret rooms. Finally, you will visit a French family of chisellers and goldsmiths, trained in Florence, whose workshop creates sculptures, gold pieces, and art bronzes for Popes and Kings.
