A CLUBBER’S GUIDE TO BERLIN

Rocco Forte Hotels

Berlin’s legendary nightlife scene needs no introduction. Whether you’re dancing to house music on a floating terrace or sipping cocktails in a former swimming pool, go behind the velvet rope with our clubber’s guide to Berlin.

House of Weekend

Come for the views and stay for the infectious, upbeat atmosphere and great DJs. Located on the top floors of a block in Alexanderplatz, House of Weekend combines a fairy-lit rooftop garden with panoramic views and a chic studio floor, where you can dance until dawn as DJs spin a mix of house and techno.

Watergate

Sitting on the banks of the River Spree in Kreuzberg, Watergate is the place to go for Berlin’s signature mix of minimal techno and house. Stylishly decorated with an LED light-filled ceiling, it has a wonderful floating terrace located underneath the Oberbaum Bridge.

Berghain

Without a doubt the most famous club in Berlin, Berghain is a vast temple to hedonism. Located in a former power station, it’s renowned for its exacting entry policy. If you’re lucky enough to make it past the bouncers, get ready to embrace the industrial chic décor and thumping underground electronic beats.

Prince Charles

One of Berlin’s less intimidating night spots, Prince Charles is housed in a former swimming pool in Kreuzberg. Sip on cocktails in the original pool, now a sunken bar, before taking to the dancefloor alongside the city’s most fashionable residents.

Tresor

A favourite among clubbers since opening in 1991, Tresor continues to dominate the electronic music scene in Berlin. Occupying a disused power plant in Kreuzberg, this multi-storey venue is an essential stop for techno fans.

Make the most of the Berlin’s world-famous nightlife with Hotel De Rome’s Berlin By Night package, which allows you to party like a VIP. Accompanied by your own expert guide, you’ll have access to the city’s hippest haunts and plenty of opportunity to party the night away like a real Berliner.
