For a fascinating insight into the Renaissance, discover Leonardo da Vinci – Science before Science until 30th June 2019, just a short stroll from Hotel de Russie in Rome. Held in honour of the fifth centenary of the humanist’s death, the exhibition at The Scuderie del Quirinale investigates his work’s relationship with technology and science. If you prefer art for art’s sake, head to Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt to explore the exceptional Van Gogh exhibition. On display at the Städel Museum, visitors can learn about the Post-Impressionist pioneer’s incredible legacy within the context of the German art scene.
