Master mixologist Salvatore Calabrese is renowned for his infectious passion for vintage spirits. From 18th century cognac to gin bottled in the 1960s, Salvatore’s drinks cabinet is a thing of wonder, filled with rare and extraordinary bottles.

An unforgettable experience for cocktail aficionados, your clients can enjoy to a private consultation with Salvatore. Taking place in the Donovan Bar, named Best Bar at Virtuoso’s Best of the Best awards in 2018, Salvatore’s Bespoke Cocktail Experience involves a one-on-one meeting with the cocktail maestro himself, who will then create a cocktail inspired by your client.

For something a little less bespoke but no less delicious, savour the sweet simplicity of Salvatore’s vintage Honey Bee cocktail. Containing only three ingredients, the Honey Bee is a wonderfully uncomplicated cocktail from the 1930s. Some 90 years on, it’s a much-loved fixture on the menu at the Donovan Bar, where its flavour and charm delight a new generation of drinkers.

INGREDIENTS

40ml 1950s Martinique Rhum
20ml lemon juice
2 tsp organic honey
Vintage cut glass coupe

METHOD

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all the ingredients. Shake and then strain

Serve in a vintage cut glass coupe
