Four bucket list honeymoon experiences

An enchanting escape in Europe

Your clients can make life-long memories on their honeymoon by sharing a new experience with their partner, from helicopter tours to driving through countryside in a vintage vehicle.

Best for... thrill-seekers
Villa Igiea, Palermo

Guests staying at Villa Igiea in Palermo, on the north coast of the Italian island of Sicily, can recapture the butterflies of their first date with a helicopter tour.

Once they’re strapped into the helicopter they’ll enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Sicilian coast. As the pilot loops the sky they can gawp at fifth century temples in Agrigento and the unique rock formations of the UNESCO-listed Aeolian archipelago. But nothing is more thrilling than peering into the craters of Stromboli, an active volcano surrounded by black lava beaches, or hovering over Mount Etna – Europe’s tallest active volcano.

Best for… laidback lovers
The Balmoral, Edinburgh

If there’s ever a time to stop and smell the roses, a honeymoon is it. That’s why The Balmoral in Edinburgh in Scotland has teamed up with the Scottish perfume brand Kingdom Scotland so that your clients staying in its Bowes Lyon suite can relax in a scent masterclass.

Kingdom Scotland’s founder, Imogen Russon-Taylor, will talk your clients through its fragrances: Metamorphoric smells of rose and is inspired by rocks made dense by heat; Albaura is a unisex poppy and cedarwood scent inspired by the Scottish botanist Isobel Wylie Hutchison; Portal is woody in a nod to Caledonia’s pine forests while Kingdom Botanica is a collaboration with Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, with blackcurrant notes.

Your clients can also sip Secret Garden Distillery’s Baile Mhoireil gin while they choose which fragrance to take home. The scent will linger long after they’ve unpacked.

Best for... romantics
Hotel Savoy, Florence

What is more romantic than driving through the Italian countryside? Hotel Savoy in Florence has partnered with Slow Drive to allow your clients to hop in a retro Fiat 500, classic Triumph TR3 or vintage Lancia Flavia convertible.

Adventurous guests will feel the wind in their hair as they wind past picturesque vineyards, meadows of cypress and lemon trees and down country lanes lined with wildflowers. Your clients can stop whenever they please to take photos of farmers attending olive groves or to wave ciao to locals in a village square.

Hotel Savoy has also partnered with Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella – a perfume and soap brand that dates back to 1221 – to launch a new Spa Suite to celebrate the skincare brand’s 800th anniversary.

Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella was founded by Dominican friars in Florence who grew herbs to make medication, balms and pomades for the monks’ infirmary.

Today your clients can benefit from eight centuries of knowledge by indulging in treatments that use the chemist’s products in the spa, which is spread across two storeys with views across the city. Guests can also enjoy a private tour of the chemist’s home.

Groups can discover unforgettable experiences at our hotels across Europe.
