Summertime ballet, Bizet’s Carmen
Arriving at Villa Igiea this summer, your clients can enrich their stay with a dip into cultural waters. Witness the creative choreography of Leo Mujić as he reveals a fresh spin on Bizet’s classic ballet, Carmen.
Watching the ballet is a wonderful way to see Italy’s largest theatre, known for its gold and red auditorium and ceiling mural of angels and musicians painted by the Palermo-born artist Rocco Lentini. Looking ahead to the end of autumn in Palermo, the theatre season comes to a grand finale with a rousing operatic production of Don Giovanni. Mozart’s emotive score brings Lord Byron’s satirical poem to the stage, concluding with a dramatic finish.
