A Message to Our Guests
I have built my business on caring about people. Never has my belief been more important than right now as I endeavour to reassure guests and staff of our ongoing commitment to their safety, comfort and wellbeing.
With properties located in several European countries, we have worked closely with each local authority in order to apply their safety guidelines and following expert advice Rocco Forte Hotels have developed and implemented their own rigorous protocol going above and beyond what is internationally required. Each hotel will have a dedicated Health and Safety Supervisor directing extraordinary operations covering all hotel areas.
Our primary concern being the wellbeing of guests and staff, we also understand that flexibility in travel is of the upmost importance. We have reviewed our booking policies in order to encourage guests to plan ahead and dissipate any concerns and uncertainties they may have.
Mine has been a hospitality focused family business for four generations, a time in which we have withstood and surmounted great challenges by supporting and protecting each other and the communities we live in. I intend to do the very same now.

Health and Safety Measures
The situation relating to the virus is continually evolving as more becomes known about it. We continue to monitor developments and adjust our policies accordingly. Full recognition is given to the recommendations of international bodies such as the WHO and the protocols required by the local Governments and authorities where we operate.
At Rocco Forte Hotels, we have consulted experts in the field and have developed our own policies which far exceed the internationally accepted standards.
Prior to re-opening our hotels, we are engaging specialised firms to deep clean and sanitise all hotel areas which include all rooms and public spaces and back of house areas. All air conditioning units and air filters will receive specialised treatment.
All employees will receive training in the new protocols before the hotel opens and this will be ongoing thereafter. This will include interaction with guests and welcome procedures. All contractors and third parties we deal with will be asked to follow the same procedures. We will also temperature check all staff members on arrival each day and any showing any Covid-19 symptoms will be asked to remain at home. All members of staff will wear protective masks and gloves whilst performing their duties.
All luggage arriving at the hotel will be safely and professionally sanitised before being delivered to the rooms.
All hotel rooms will be meticulously cleaned and sanitised, using professionally certified products effective against Covid-19, each room will be disinfected and sealed after each guest departure.
Enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures will be implemented in all public areas and lifts. Dedicated team members will sanitise all surfaces and touch points on a regular basis throughout the day.
Social distancing will be observed in all public areas as required by local regulations. This will include restaurants, bars, other food and beverage areas and our gyms and spas. We have devised special room service menus for those who feel more comfortable dining in their rooms.
The same vigorous cleaning and disinfection procedures will be applied to our staff and back of house areas.
Masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitisers will be made available in guest bedrooms and sanitisers will be available in all guest areas.
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
We will offer maximum flexibility in relation to modification or cancellation of bookings at Rocco Forte Hotels.
Existing and future bookings with Rocco Forte Hotels until September 30, 2021 can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to arrival without any charge. Group bookings, advanced purchase reservations, and bookings for special suites and villas will be dealt with on an individual basis. Cancellations policies for our Resorts may differ. For bookings made through your travel advisor, please contact them directly about this.
We will do our utmost to provide a safe and enjoyable stay at all our Rocco Forte Hotels and deliver our usual standard of welcome and high level of service despite the restrictions.

PCR Tests Information
On-site PCR tests are now available at our hotels and resorts across Europe.
Test results can be delivered within 48 hours, including the provision of the accompanying travel certificates. Rapid tests are also available at some of our properties.

Fit to Travel
At Rocco Forte Hotels, we have responded to the new testing measures in Italy by partnering with a certified UK-based company for a seamless pre-flight testing service.
Entirely bookable online, Blue Horizon will arrange for self-test kits to be couriered to and from our guests’ homes ahead of their departures. This ensures they will receive the required test certificate within 72 hours of their planned break, allowing them to enter Italy safely and smoothly.
Rocco Forte Hotels guests will enjoy an exclusive rate on tests once their reservations are confirmed.
